When I say that fraud is an institution in Nigeria, people would think I am being too critical in my assessment. You can literally not find any sector in Nigeria whether public or private that is not monumentally corrupt. This is why you see these elites aka business moguls support their fellow criminals to take over government so the institutional corruption can continue and help cover their mess. When you hear Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world, it is not for lack of resources but due to mismanagement by those in charge.
Those who exploit the system cannot do so without the support or permission of the system. If the system is compromised, could the same system be relied upon to sanitize things? However, exposure is always the first step in the downfall of criminal masterminds. From exposure to indictment may however be a long journey that never quite reaches its destination.
I’ve personally taken the liberty to warn any foreign emerging market focused asset manager to think not twice but thrice about investing in any bank in Nigeria!
With this level of thievery and banditry, little wonder why the Occupier in Chief of Aso Rock is a forger and monumental thief.
Sincerely, we need action and fast too. The adults and our forebears are hell bent on ruining our country, and it's high time we take our destiny in our own hands.
LONG LIVE WEST AFRICA WEEK LY
