Incredible work! Fantastic example of hardcore investigative journalism being taken seriously by authorities and having immediate, positive impact for real people. Congratulations to West Africa Weekly!
I hope authorities hold their heads in shame for not being proactive enough! David should not be the one finding out these airline's gross and disgraceful malpractices, they should have found out themselves without David, if only they have done their jobs without using $$ to shut the mouths of authorities that should know better! Shameful!
These authorities ought to be ashamed of themselves and immediately follow this suspension with a public apology and someone should be getting fired. But this is Nigeria.
Well done to David. Only God knows how many hundreds of lives you have saved with this singular article.
There is still much to worry about as more measures are needed to sanitise the industry, nonetheless, this is a step in the right direction. All thanks to David
Oh good! But going by the date in the suspension letter it’s indicative that NCAA are not on top of their game if they only act when prompted by journalists. The airline using a B777 on flights of 45 minutes is like slow poison on they aircraft. The maintenance bill will mount in leaps
Their immediate response is commendable. However, things only got to this point due to negligence from multiple industry parties. Let's hope this wake-up call is heeded by all the relevant agents/agencies.
This is a vital piece of information for pilgrims at the moment. I will be sure to share with anyone I come across. You have saved a lot of lives with this report.
Thank you so much, David for the insightful piece; without which the authorities wouldn’t have taken any action. I hope Max Air also works on the branding of their recently purchased Boeing 777 that still bears the logo of the former owner, Japan Air. Thank you for this call out! How incredibly embarrassing does it get? Why are the simplest things trivialized and missed by this airline? Shouldn’t there be a QC team that manages / reviewes specificities within the organization from acquisitions to daily safety checks? A shame.

Thank you for saving your compatriots once again David.
You are one of the best bfriendst Nigeria and its govt has, if only they are not picky about the counsel to consider. The truth is bitter.
